WHAT WE OFFER
Empowered Learning Center™ of Stamford is part of a unique network of centers designed to assess, remediate, and enhance the learning abilities of our clients, from Kindergarten to adult. They will develop the ability to learn any content on their own. Through the delivery of clinically proven, proprietary assessment methods and learning strategies, we remediate the underlying problems that inhibit learning and impart to our clients the best learning strategies available today, regardless of age or inherent academic ability.
Many students at all levels of achievement have difficulty learning in a school environment for a variety of reasons. In many cases this is the result of underdeveloped sensory motor, visual processing and cognitive skills. This doesn’t mean they can’t learn, it means they will have to expend 2, 3 times more effort to learn than a student with well developed abilities. We develop these abilities.
We are much more than a simple tutoring service. Our program complements school and content driven supplemental educational services by removing the internal impediments to learning. We offer our services in a safe and caring environment that fosters personal growth and intellectual stimulation and emotional intellect.
Empowered Learning Centers™ identify the reasons for learning difficulties through our FOCUS™ Assessments, the Neurolex Report, a medical test for AD/HD and/or our Physical Assessments. We develop an individualized prescription to strengthen any underdeveloped abilities necessary for academic success.
In 2003 the Empowered Learning Centers became an approved NYS Department of Education Supplemental Education Service.
