A Parent's Response To Our
Student Progress Report
Does your child enjoy the program?
Will does enjoy the program. While it takes
up a great deal of this after-school time, he realizes how
much it has helped him. Also, because it is not "school"
in the traditional sense, it’s almost fun for him!
Do you notice any difference in behavior?
Will is much more confident about school, specifically
with his work there and in his ability to succeed. His grades have improved
dramatically. He is much more organized and the time he needs to complete
assignments has dropped considerably.
Sports?
While Will doesn't not participate in sports, because he
is now able to finish his work in a reasonable amount of time this
past year has been the first in which he has been able to participate in other
extracurricular activities.
Home?
Will is much more relaxed at home and has a
much more positive outlook on life.
Socially?
Will feels equal to his peers now
that he is a regular student and not an “oddball”.
While in elementary school he had a huge problem with bullying.
Last September when he started a new school this was a concern.
From day one he has been accepted as one of the guys.
Any questions or comments about the program
We, as parents, have tried for six years to
find help for Will, who has ADD. It was heart breaking to
sense how intelligent and wonderful a person he was only to
have these very special attribute, buried at school.
Your program, combined with individual tutoring, has resulted
in amazing improvements. We, and others, began to notice this
after only two months. Now he's is like a different child.
We are amazed at the changes in him socially, scholastically
and at home. His frustration has been replaced with confidence,
his pessimism replaced with optimism, and his despair replaced with hope.
